Someone that really knows his stuff! You're completely correct, except I disagree with "As far as I know, lost packets will only increase the lag. The data will get there no matter what, our problem here is the delay until it gets there." The packets will really disappear... It's like sending a mail to the otherside of the world... it takes a long time, lots of 'routers' and everytime it passes arouter it can fall under a desk. Most routers will disregard a packet if the timestamp is off too much. Currently I have 80% packetloss...really. Wonder if this message comes though.
