Remember the bookmark exhange idea?
Eric ColemanSomeone once brought up the idea of everyone exchanging bookmarks. Well, now is the chance for everyone to do just that. Add your links to the Links page. [:D] For everyone developing a game, add a link to your website. The BHGL is for completed games, so if you want to advertise your site and don't have a completed game but are working on one, then add a link. Also, everyone will notice that there are some fields for mirrors. With website hosts disappearing all of the time, this might help some people that have multiple mirrors of their website. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, then please post [:)]
bugboy[:(] When I typed in my info and all that on the "Add a Link" page and clicked post I got this: The page cannot be displayed There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please try the following: Open the vbgamer.strategon.com home page, and then look for links to the information you want. Click the Refresh button, or try again later. Click Search to look for information on the Internet. You can also see a list of related sites. HTTP 500 - Internal server error Internet Explorer Why is this so?
Eric ColemanHmm... I think I may need to reboot the router. The scripts work, that's how I added all of my links and some other people have added links. The problem is probably an ISP issue. What link were you trying to add?
bugboyHere, I'll just post what I wanted to add to the links and you can do it for me. I wanted to add something to the game developer's section. Title: Insectile Donut Productions URL: http://www.insectiledonut.com No Mirrors Description: Insectile Donut Productions is a small company that makes extremely unique games. We won't promise Super-Duper quality or the latest technology, but we do have a gaming experience that you can't get anywhere else! We have a lots of crappy games and a few great ones. CHECK US OUT! That oughta do it.
Eric ColemanIs anyone else having any problems posting links? If you are, then please email me or post a message. I can't fix a bug if I don't know about it. thanks [:)]
Rag on a StickI think there is a bug in this forum. Eric gets a star under his name, and I don't get squat [:)] EDIT: Emoticoned my emoticon. It is pretty whacky here, I can't just :), I have to [ :) ]... I suppose this will help me cut back on my excessive smileys [:)]
Eric ColemanIf you click on the "Post a Reply" link, you'll get all the smiley faces that you can click on. LIke this.. [:)][:p][;)] I agree that the [ ] is a bit troublesome, but it cuts back on smileys in code. MyArray(8) = "Is this index 8 or a smiley with sunglasses?"
Almar JolingOne small idea though..the ability to search for an url with wildcards? I mean, if I wanted to check if Patrice scribre's site is in there, or gamasutra, I have to check out all categories to see if they are(n't) there? (and I believe both aren't [:)])
