I've messed with OpenGL around a bit but the results were not so good. Program crashed after several runs and i had to restart the windows. I think that the problem were the big memory consumtion of OpenGL. OK, I used it for 3D operations and I don't think that my Celeron 366 with 64 RAM & 16 MB Riva TNT is too bad to handle simple low-poly renderings. I've moved to D3D and I haven't faced such problems anymore. You could check and it's OpenGl section. There is a link to a site (Edx's or like that)
