VS6 Service Pack 6 is available

Eric Coleman (8 replies, 2124 views) (2004-Apr-14) Microsoft has now released service pack 6 for Visual Studio 6. There are multiple downloads to chose from, there is a full Visual Studio 6 service pack (61 MB), a smaller VB6 only serivice pack (27 MB), and the updated VB6 runtime redistribution pack (1 MB). I'm not sure if the full service pack will mess up anyone's installation of the VC++ processor pack. There may be an updated version of the Processor Pack on the Service Pack 6 CD, but when I tried to order it the website said the item isn't avaliable yet.

 | After installing that, I couldnt start VB anymore, it said "Unexpected Error, Quitting" and dies.
 that's odd, I haven't installed the service pack yet. Has anyone else installed the service pack? yup, it works fine for me After the reboot it asked for it gave me that Unexpected Error when I tried loading VB. After another, manual reboot, it appear to work fine again.
Oh, and if someone knows if and where to download a new C++ processor pack for SP6, please tell us!

The backwards order is intentional. The comment system was designed so people could leave their comments, not have a conversation. I guess an edit feature could easily be added.
