Mass Destruction is a top-down space shooter that iv'e been working on for a while now. This game features: great gameplay, sound, music, original artwork, and plenty of unlockables to top it all off. Overall, there are over 90 things to level up and unlock! Please download, and most of all, enjoy. I would appreciate any feedback, suggestions, bug reports, Ect. Go to the website to download it.

I played the massdestruction game for about an hour this morning. I like the concept of the kit out screen, unfortunatly I wasn't able o unlock any new stuff. Maybe somthing to do with the fact I wasn't able to complete a single level :) It's those ships that fire diagonally that kept getting me, I tried using all sorts of differt weapons but couldn't get past them as my ship was too slow. I also found myself dodging stars instead of the balls of snot fired from the alien craft - it would help if the starfield moved at a slower pace than the snot balls. It would nice to see a scoreboard of sorts ticking away after each kill.

I found the Mass destruction game surprisingly addictive. I'm usually not much of a fan of this kind of game, but something about this one hooked me. I do have some problems though. In the readme, it says I should have unlocked the X 2 point gain gem when I completed level 5 with a score of "D" or better, but I finished with a "C" twice and still don't have it. Dodging was nearly impossible to do deliberately on my computer, and rarely did I even do it by accident. Not a big deal now that my ship is all the way upgraded (I suck so bad I had to upgrade my ship before I could finish very many levels at all), but when I was starting out on level one. . . . VBBR-- When you say it runs fast, are you talking about the MassDestruction game or the one on the website? MassDestruction runs fine on my Pentium 3 GHz machine (using Win XP). Dan-- First level is hard at first, but don't give up! If your careful, you can reach those diagonal ships with just about 100% health, then you just have to keep moving. Remember that staying alive is far more important than killing people. If you find it necessary for survival-don't kill anyone except the boss. You'll still get points, and after you upgrade your ships armor, level one is easy!

Thanks for you comments everyone! To clear up your problem Lachlan87, there is an error in the guide. You have to have the Point Gain x 1.5 gem before you beat Level 5 to get get the Point Gain x 2 gem. And for those that think the game is to hard, just follow Lachlan87's advice, and just survive until you start upgrading your ship. Just a question: Has anyone beaten the insanity level yet???
